Things To Do Around Port Angeles
Ediz Hook Spit – On one side you will find a calm harbor, views of Port Angeles and Olympic mountain range. On the other, you have the crashing waves of Strait of Juan de Fuca and views of Victoria B.C, Canada. There are beaches on both sides, but the beach on the clam harbor side will feel safer for kids.

Quinn Redlin-Kintner Memorial Park – This park in Port Angeles downtown has good play structure and amazing views of Mt.Angeles and the Olympic mountain range.

Feiro Marine Life Center - This little marine life aquarium in downtown Port Angeles lets you look and touch local sea life. All of the marine life is from the Strait of Juan de Fuca, you can also meet their resident Octopus!

Puget Sound Express Whale Watching - One of the best things to do as a family on the Olympic Peninsula is go whale watching. The Salish Sea is home to an astonishing variety of whales, including orcas, humpbacks, gray whales, and minke whales.
Blackball Ferry - Take the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, BC. Once in Victoria, immerse yourself in the city's charming ambiance and explore its rich cultural heritage.

Lefties Baseball - The Lefties are part of the West Coast League which is a summer wooden bat league for college-eligible student-athletes. Games are played June through August at Civic Field (only 1 mile from our hotel).
Things To Do Near Port Angeles
Lake Crescent – Located in Olympic National Park and about a 30 mins drive from Port Angeles, Lake Crescent is a glacially carved lake known for its clear deep blue waters.

Marymere Falls Hike – This is a 2 mile roundtrip, 305 elevation gain kid-friendly hike near Port Angeles that starts from Lake Crescent Lodge area. This trail can also be considered stroller-friendly, until you get close to waterfalls where you can carry your kid or make them walk.

Hurricane Ridge – If you want to be surrounded by mountains of Olympic National Park all around you, then Hurricane Ridge is your destination. Think of it as a scenic spot at 5,000ft of elevation accessible after 30 mins drive (18 miles) south of Port Angeles.

Lavender Farm – There are a bunch of lavender farms in Sequim-Dungeness valley that make for a good family outing.
You can walk in the fields to pick flowers, buy lavender oriented merchandise such as essential oils and bath products, and have kids meet some farm animals such as goats and chickens. Peak bloom season is in the summer from late June through August.

Olympic Game Farm – This is a drive-through farm that allows visitors to see many wild animals up, close and personal. You can feed animals such as deer, bison, elk, llama, zebra, emu from your car as you drive through the game preserve.
And view animals such as bear, lion, tiger, bald eagles, peacocks, wolves from a distance.
